All of the folders and files you see in this Temp folder are no longer being used by Windows XP and can safely be deleted. To remove individual folders or files

  1. Thanks very helpful. One tip if, when deleting temp files, you select "Edit" along the top and select "select all" in the dropdown menu higlighting all files in folder, then hit delete, hope that's helpful

  2. I am a complete novice I must first explain. I have made a mess of my computer in my attempts to remove the delta search engine. I took advice from a Youtube member and deleted all of the temp files. Could this explain why I am no longer able to download photos from my Kodak camera?……And, is it possible to retrieve deleted temp files? Thanks.

  3. Yes you can. You have to start up in Safe Mode and then delete the files in the temp folder under windows. Delete the files in sets of 10, 20 or 50. Depend on how many temp files you have in the folder. There will be between 3 and 6 files that you are not able to delete. The system will refuse to delete these so do not mark them for deletion. Only delete the files the system allow. Reboot the system after you have deleted then files. Good luck.
