VirtualBox is software designed for a user to run a virtual operating system that may be different or similar to the operating system installed on the hardware computer. VirtualBox is downloaded and installed into Windows 8. User preferences is demonstrated by setting a folder to save all future virtual machines.

Video is of a VirtualBox install into a virtual machine to allow for multiple retakes. Actual install of VirtualBox into a hardware host computer is the same.

  2. Guys, Turn off Hyper V and Virtual Box works fine on Windows8 (at least, It did work in my case)
    > To enable Hyper‑V on Windows 8.1
    > In Control Panel, tap or click Programs, and then tap or click Programs and Features.
    > Tap or click Turn Windows Features on or off.
    > Select Hyper‑V, tap or click OK, and then tap or click Close.
    > Shut down your PC, and then restart it.

  3. Hello ALl!
    I've tried multiple versions of VBOX, and THIS is the only version that runs on my WIndows 8.1 ASUS g750 VirtualBox-4.2.14.86644. My VB kept crashing, and nothing would work. NOw I have VBox 4.2.14, and Extensions for 4.3.14
