  1. Im getting an error when installing kali. it says : Error: GRUB installation failed.
The 'grub-pc' package failed to install into /target/. Without the GRUB boot loader, the installed system will not boot.

    please help me out

  2. Wonderful video, thank you for taking the time to create this well explained video.

I am having difficulty with one aspect so far. At minute 6:00, you explain the partitioning steps. I have this completed with 30GB of unallocated space and have left it alone as you describe as this space is for the installation of Kali. All good!

Upon attempting to install Kali, I reach the step “Partition Disks”, specifically at minute 14:05. I select “Guided – use the largest continuous free space” and when I click continue, I receive the error:
“Failed to partition the selected disk. This probably happened because the selected disk or free space is too small to be automatically partitioned”
I then click continue and instead of selecting “Guided – use the largest continuous free space”, I select “Manual”.
Here I see my drives including the 30GB partition. To the right of the other partitions it reads “ntfs’, yet beside the 30GB it states “Unusable”. Aaaaand, I’m stuck as I cannot move forward from this point.
While you stated earlier to leave the 30GB partition alone, it appears that you have #5 & #6 both as logical drives one ext4 and the other swap. Mine simply reads “unusable”

I sure hope you can shed some light on this for me! Thank you.

  3. What will i do with this step:
Guided, use the largest continuous free space.
If i shrink a volume to make a space for installing Kali, so will this setup recognize this free space to install my Kali.
I mean i want not to harm my data in any case..
Please guide me about the partion part of this tutorial..
