  1. When I sign in it defaults to the main user profile…how do I change it so that it defaults to another user profile that I have setup on the website?

  2. I have a problem,,,Ever since I bought this new HP Laptop with windows 8 preinstalled, my experience with Netflix has changed. The problem is whenever I am in the middle of a movie or anything and i want to pause the movie for a short 2 minute break, I come back to see that the screen turned black and the interaction with the buttons on the screen is gone. so i have to close google chrome and start all over again. so please someone tell me whats going on?! and its not the screen saver.

  3. Hover your cursor to the far upper right corner or bottom lower right corner of the screen while on the Netflix app. on windows 8, and go to settings (Gear icon) tab and click on it. You will see the Netflix sign out and account settings.

  4. Try this:
    1) open Store app
    2) press WinKey+I, select "App updates"
    3) press "Check for updates"
    4) once updates are showing up, press Install button at the bottom

    Does this help?

It's the feature of Windows 8, should work the same way for every app that supports search.

  7. Mathew…Go back to the drawing board. Some people don't have touchscreen and this app DOES NOT work properly with the non touchies. Just tried to search Clint Eastwood….doesn't work. You guys are hot to jump on the latest greatest but you forget that not everyone has the latest greatest. FAIL!!!

  8. They should add "search as you type" so you don't need to press any hotkeys.

Also, netflix really needs a right click menu for TV series, to quickly pick episodes whilst already watching one.

-They recently added the 'next episode' link which is great, but it needs more

  9. What the app needs is MCE Remote support… Its great on a touch screen but some of the UI features are a pain without touch and actually require a mouse which is not handy from the couch. Perhaps a 10 foot UI version. Oh and DD/DD+ output support. The app is initially going to be installed on a lot more PCs than tablets until the surface and RT start to catch on.

  10. Yes, in the video if you look in the bottom right corner of the Surface while a video is playing, you see a little speech bubble looking thing. That is to enable subtitles.

  11. Windows 8 on tablets is fine but NOT for PCs. It strips out DVD capability and removes Windows Media Center. I have access to Netflix already – don't need Windows 8 for that.
