  1. Thanks man, this really helped. I recently got a new computer and as I install some important jar files it asks me which program it should use,so I click java and it proceeded to tell me that I don't have java on my machine _. Thanks though, My programs are working flawlessly now. 🙂

  2. THANK YOU !!  You help me install the FULL Java 8 32-bit, not just the updater when I'd accidently deleted all Java off my computer.  The updater didn't install the full version.  And I couldn't find the 32-bit.  The 64-bit didn't work on my computer.
But you showed me the -i586 IS the 32-bit version I wanted.  Thank you.

  3. Summary of some of the points from Java site at where you will find more detailed info

    1. The Java Uninstall tool will only uninstall java versions 6u 10 and later installed from the java site and can only remove versions 1.4.2 and above.

    2. The Java version that is currently in use to run the tool will not be removed. Only Java versions installed using the Java installer are detected. If Java is bundled with any application that uses its own installer, that version of Java will not be offered for removal.

    3. You cannot restore versions removed by the uninstaller tool.

    4. Any older versions you need will have to reinstalled. Refer to the Java Archive for older versions.

    5. If you have pop-up blockers this may hinder the java update – refer to the help section on Java site

    6. If you cannot update or uninstall as above, you can manually uninstall older versions via control panel and uninstall programs.

    7. Check operating system (OS win 7, 8, vista, xp, mac, linux), browser (IE, Chrome, firefox, etc), Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and the update version – are all supported via the Java site.

Manual uninstall at the help section at
