How to change critically low battery in ubuntu
1. Start dconf-editor
2. Browse to org next gnome next settings-daemon next plugins next power
3. Change the values of percentage-critical and percentage-action to the level you require
4. Change use-time-for-policy to false
5. Done!

You can also do this from a terminal with:
1. open terminal ctrl+alt+t
2. add
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power percentage-critical 10
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power…

  1. What version of Ubuntu was this?

    I'm trying to do essentially this in Mint 18.1 (based on Ubuntu 16.04) and when I set it to warning=20, critical=15, action=10, use-time=false it still didn't go to sleep at 9% power.
