  1. What was 7-zip extracting at the end? I'm installing lubuntu onto an external harddrive.. except that it's actually an internal harddrive to a VERY old PC that I made portable for the moment. I'm trying to revive it and kill off Windows 2000. I've tried EVERYTHING all the way to using a 2001 floppy disk program called Smart Boot Manager.. that my PC just ignored. -_- So, after this I will stick this right back into my old PC and hopefully all is installed! Though.. when 7-zip was extracting it's files, those weren't perhaps important files that will be left stuck in this pc once I remove this external HDD right? or was 7-zip extracting TO the external HDD and not the PC I'm using for this process? Thanks! Great video btw!

  2. i bought several version of linux on DVD from e-bay from a guy i got good DVDs from before. i recently ordered Zorin 12.1 from him and it had "issues" booting the computer, upon investigation, it appears the DVDs are corrupt imperfect copies, so i used this video, got the USB installer and made a copy of zorin from the website.

  3. Good god, if that ain't the LONG way around to find out if your running 64/32 bit OS! Save us the self induced ego stroke of over-complicating things to make yourself seem smarter, and just have people right-click My Computer and go to Properties. Boom. Done. Over. No Opening the command prompt and running some hard to spell command as administrator crap. P.S. that command you ran does NOT even require it to be ran as administrator BTW.
