This video will show you how to disable display scaling on High DPI settings globally; eg. for all programs on your system. It will also show you an easier fix which can be applied for individual programs & apps.

This fix will work on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10.

  1. this way no longer works with newest windows update after selecting compatibility mode you got an option that states override high dpi scaling behavior scaling performed by and 3 options application system and enhance. and due to the newest feature out of windows version 16299 they added a new feature in it that overrides this as well that blocks any scaling that the app or program can do

  2. So I have a 4K laptop and sometimes when I watch Netflix shows that aren’t 4K they look a little bad. I did some research and people say that the 4K screen is downscaling the image to go to 1080p which makes it look bad. So some people told me to turn off display scaling. Would this fix my issue with the 4K downscaling and looking terrible?

    Right click on the shortcut folder to the Lightroom or Adobe file that you're having issues with
    Click on Properties
    Click on Compatibility
    Click on Override high DPI Scaling performed by….
    Click on System
