  1. If you use use /dev/sda3 ext4 / as device for boot loader installation you will be able to keep windows mbr and not destroy your windows boot loader, also change linux time management from UTC time to local time and not have a time conflict when dual booting OS's

  2. During the bcd backup repair, I left it on reset. Which cleared my devices, so I added them back, Windows with /c and Linux as above, just restarted laptop and got error message: bootbcd. How do I get back to Windows to chance easybcd again???

  3. Hello Brian?? mate I tried for three days and many drive cleans and cloning but it would not give me the dual boot I posted on your forum but as yet I suppose because it is Christmas I have not answer However I tried one last time this morning and it has finally worked why because I have tried every method I could find including this one and even the one where it say install Linux alongside Windows and this time it has worked!! I have no idea what was wrong but al last I have regained what little bit of sanity I have left Thanks for the tutorial mate and all of the rest that I have watched over the years but this one has been the most trying thing I have done. I am assuming it was something to do with the machines BIOS but not sure but at least I can breath again .

  4. Does this also work for windows 8.1 and Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3? And I have BIOS boot mode legacy, legacy with CSM, or UEFI. I can only boot from USB stick (Created with Sardu) using Legacy mode. Is that OK as well? I do not want to fuck up my windows or booting, even though I’ve had enough of Microsoft. Thank you so much for your help.
