Installing Photoshop CS6 on Linux (Ubuntu, Elementary OS, Mint, Debian)

This how I run Adobe Photoshop CS6 on my Linux desktop.

step-by-step tutorial :

Install PlayOnLinux
wget -q ” -O- | sudo apt-key add –
sudo wget -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

  1. Looks like it works pretty neat. I've tried older Adobe Photoshop version on Wine and on Virtual Machine with Windows, but it was quite uncomfortable to use compared to regular Windows installation. This setup looks usable so I may give it a shot.

  2. Hi! Just to to ask if is it a bit laggy on your unit… I felt like I just connected remotely to another LAN pc with photoshop. Is there a way I could speed it up a bit… like using my device video card (GTX 950M)… Thanks!
