With this method, you don’t have to make separate partition of your HDD. Remember, this only work for Ubuntu users.

Remix OS for PC Official Download Page:

How to install Grub Customizer:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer

Grub’s Menu Entry:

insmod part_gpt
search –file –no-floppy –set=root /remix/system.sfs
linux /remix/kernel root=/dev/ram0 androidboot.hardware=remix_x86_64…

  1. After you reboot, will it know it is already installed, and not keep running the 5 minute installer each time? I will try this method, but so far I keep getting a First Time run through (if you know what I mean), with the long boot time and configuration, etc. etc. Hopefully this works.

  2. Hi there, first of all thanks for the info, but im having some issues. Im on UBUNTU 16.04 LTS. i have followed everything but cannot get passed the grub. I keep getting:

    Error: no such device: /remix/system.sfs
    Error: file /remix/kernel' no found.
Error: you need to load the kernel first.

i followed everything and placed the files under the remix folder, then pasted grub menu entry on a new entry in grub customizer. Please help.

  3. Hi!
I don't have too much space in my root folder, because my system is installed on a smaller partition.
But I have a separate home partition, which has plenty of space.. Is it possible to install Remix OS on that partition?
If so, how do I modify the script so that the grub will find Remix OS when booting up?

Also. It would be nice, if you could do a video with installing Phoenix OS. They say that Phonenix is more stable than Remix, and less buggy.

    Have anice day!
