  1. Excellent video … I have used UNIX before (when I was much younger Hahaha!), I might give this a try as I also have an Acer C720P Chromebook and would like to unleash it's potential.

    I assume this was the 2Gb RAM model?

    Also, the Unity interface just doesn't do it for me, is it possible to install Linux Mint (Cinnamon UI)?

  2. Anyone? How much space does it take up? Are there lean distros for Chromebooks? I've just received a Chromebook C730 today and disappointed to find it has an eMMC rather than an [M.2] SSD as advertised. I'm undecided whether to send it back and try to find one with an actual SSD or try and get on with a paltry 32GB drive. I'm not into cloud apps.

    i typed "sudo startxfce4"
    this happened:

  4. i am wondering why after i did the update for the mouse and logged out like in the video, after i reopen unity then go back to my chrome drive and close the terminal now i cant get back to ubuntu unless i leave the terminal open? like ctrl+alt+shift+forward arrow doesnt work anymore. the only way i can access it is throught the terminal

    When I typed in 'sudo startunity' the console said 'sudo: start unity: command not found'
    If it helps you at all so you can help me, I'm on a hp chrome book.

Thx it worked, but im only 11 and i want to be a programer so go easy with me, ok so i got everything happy with it, but then when i got steam logged in and everything i wanted to download TF2 for free, but i needed more space, how do u free space, but thats not the main thing, what i REALLY need is that i think i updated it or something and now when i go onto steam it says "OpenGL GLX extention not supported by display" and i like whaaat. I did lots of research and hours and stuff on trying to find out a solution. I think on terminal i downloaded this thing called bumblebee or something with nvidia. plz help i really need steam. And how to free data.
