  1. Installing Please wait? WintoUSB still at 0% after 25 mins? I am connected to a Seagate Barracuda 720 spinning drive via USB I guess after 40 mins and no movement and the drive quite its not working? Any advice

  2. Hey if anyone could help me that would be awesome, I completed every step of the video up until the point where you put the windowssupport onto the ssd. When I went back into mac it won't show up so I went back into the the VM and it wont show up there either. The ssd is has just completely dissapeared and now I'm worried that I've bricked it.

  3. Great tutorial! @9to5Mac

For those who have High Sierra and VMFusion 10.

    1. Before you Erase your SSD Follow this instruction.

In Disk Utility, near the close/minimize/fullscreen buttons, you can see a "View" mode drop-down menu. Set the view mode to "Show All Devices", then you'll see the "root" drives. Click on a root drive, and then click on the "Erase" button. Now an option to change the "Scheme" from Master Boot Record to GUID appears in the Erase subwindow. Now you will see EFI partition on your SSD.

    2. Detecting SSD on Windows 10 (VMFusion)

VirtualMachine > USB and Bluetooth setting -> choose Connect to Windows.

    3. If you are doing this on Macbook you will need a wired mouse or keyboard until you install the drivers.

That should be it. Hope this 3 instruction helped.

    Tested on MacBook Pro 13 (2017), Samsung T3 250 GB SSD 4/11/18

  4. Hi Jeff, is it possible to do multiple partition to install other OS in external drive. Also Let say if I have 2TB of hard drive can i use 1TB for windows bootcamp and other 1TB as storage.

  5. What could be the problem sir.. “You can’t change startup disk to the selected disk.” The bless tool was unable to set the current disk.

Im getting this error once i choose BootCamp Windows and tried restarting under start up disk. I followed your procedures from the start until this point. (I used windows 10 home, though)

Please help sir. Thanks in advance.

  6. My Mac turned to a black screen during the setup process. Each time I have to erase the drive again and re partition it before I can try it again. It keeps happening.
Any recommendations? Is my HDD crashing?

  7. I had some issues when I were supposed to run setup.exe for BootCamp. I got an error window that said nothing.. So I didn't get the drivers or BootCamp.. I fixed it by updating my MPB and then download a new WindowsSupport folder when in MacOS, put it on a flashdrive because I couldn't write on bootcamp-drive from MacOS. Then in Windows replace the old WindowsSupport folder with the new one. Boom! It worked fine after that!

  8. Hi! For anyone not able to boot, I found the solution. In High Sierra, Apple changed disc utility so that to format the drive as GUID you must click view (under the close, minimize, fullscreen buttons) and select show all devices in the dropdown menu. Then erase the flash drive as GUID. Hope I could help because I had to do quite a lot of digging online for a solution.

  9. win2usb couldn't finish the installation. Can't copy WIM file!! then I remembered why I move to Mac… No help, pointless error message, try & error as hell… I'll game on my mac!

  10. Hey I have an issue. I have the high end MacBook Pro 15” 2017. I have done exactly as per your video. Everything went well. When in the end you advise to reboot the computer into Windows 10 for the first time, I did so. Everything ran good tell the screen where I need to setup my region. So I needed to use my keyboard, trackpad and mouse. None of them work!… the only thing that I have done differently is I had uninstalled VMWare before rebooting. Please help

  11. I got this to work successfully on the SSD drive of my omen accelerator. Just can’t get past windows bit screen when I connect the GTX 1060, stays at window logo and logo flash’s here and there.

But when I restart and disconnect graphics card, boots up fine.

Any advice would be immensely appreciated!

  12. I have High Sierra using VM8, it works up to the point where I have to press the play window to actually run windows in VM, it says 'file not found', I noticed that when I load the the .iso image into VM I have to choose where to save it, in your video it says Virtual machine but I don't have that option (even though VM is running), any ideas?
