How to send messages using CMD on Windows 10 pro

This video will show you how to send messages over a local network to other computers using command prompt on Windows 10 pro. You can download LAN messenger if your pc doesn’t support msg or net send command.

Here is the command: msg * /server:[COMPUTER IP] “[MESSAGE]”

  1. As i tried but i cant able to send it. because on cmd promote it show as " the 'msg' is not recongnized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file ", what to do for this

    >msg [AD username] /server:[IP address OR Computer Name] – Press Enter
    {Type your message} – Press Enter
    {Ctrl+Z} – Press Enter

I have two virtual machines, windows server 2016 and windows 7, I can ping each other, I can see each other, I can send the message to myself, but I can not send the message to each other. I've enabled AllowRemoteRPC, but I still can not. It says "Error 5 when getting session names". Can you help me?
