  1. to share folder over wifi purchase two wifi usb adapter and plug in usb and after installing desktop show wifi sign then connect both wifi of same name the share folder with right click then share option click share everyone with clicking full control then the pc you want to connect drive go press alter then in option map drive you want click ok

  3. its a weak way to share files, I have thousands of files, I need to share Drives or directory at the least, I might as well copy onto a portable drive and share that way.
    Windows makes everything so difficult to do.

  4. I followed the steps and always get the same result, the shared folder doesn't stay shared, its shared for a random amount of minutes or seconds and then goes back to being a private folder, any tips?

  5. I had a professional set up a remote desktop connection on my laptop to my work pc/secure server. Now I am replacing my laptop, can I transfer the exact remote connection settings from the old laptop to the new laptop? They are/will both be Window 7. Thank You!

  7. go to network sharing center then click on change advanced sharing setting,scroll down click turnoff password protected sharing under password protected sharing

  8. lol. I know there are other alternatives, but I have used them to store files I don't want anyone else to access. I have used them for securing company financial data, spreadsheets, etc. It makes it a pain in the neck for the other guy to steal. ROFL
