In this tutorial I show you how to transfer files between your Windows 7 or 8 based computer and your Mac running OSX 10.7 or 10.8 (and probably 10.9)

All you need is a Mac, a PC, and a wired/wireless network with decent transfer speeds. No software required.

  1. Wow man I've looked all over Youtube for this and came across your 4 year old video. And it was more helpful than anything I've found anywhere else.. Thanks a lot, you know what you're doing.

  2. This is very helpful, but how do you go from Windows back to Mac? I have a video conversion program on my Windows machine, but do everything else on my iMac. Thank you for your time!

  3. Thank you so much dude, this really does work. I can confirm it does in fact also work with OSX 10.9 Mavericks. Iv'e just done it. Now I can transfer files backwards and forwards easily between my Macbook Pro and Win 7 64 bit system. You've saved every viewer here $48.00 – the cost of registering 'TransMac'. Thanks again. Rock on mate!

  4. To get your local ip on Windows

Run command prompt (hit windows key, type cmd and hit enter)
Type in 'ipconfig' and hit enter
Your ip will be the 'IPv4 Address'
