How To Uninstall Windows 10 Apps Like Maps, Edge, Mail, Candy Crush!

Video is ready, Click Here to View ×

I show you how to use Powershell to forcefully remove the in-box Windows 10 applications that you cannot uninstall through the add/remove programs control panel because the ‘uninstall’ button is grayed out and disabled. You can also use 3rd party programs like DWS and CCleaner to remove these apps but I wanted to demonstrate how to do it with inbox applications so you can see that Microsoft is graying out the ‘uninstall’ button without a good reason.

  1. I hope this method of working around the disabled uninstall button helps you finally remove those annoying applications that Microsoft decided to not let you remove through the user interface. 3. Hey @Barnacules Nerdgasm can you shed some light on one windows 10 issue? There is a known bug with Windows 10 start menu(not opening). You can open it with right click and "search" but normal opening is not working. If you google it you will see that its not resolved from more than 1 year. Do you know some fix or workaround? I found out that reinstalling Cortana fixes it for a while and rebooting PC fixes it for like an hour. Do you have a little trick like those you disclosed here?

  4. Edge will not uninstall. It says: "Remove-AppXPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073CFA, Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80073CFA)
