  1. Hey! Thanks for your video.
It is working but there is a little problem with me. Can you help me?
I have installed Anaconda step by step as given by your link.
I saw the text "Thank you for installing Anaconda"
    then close the terminal
now when I type python –version
it shows only python version not anaconda version
can you help me in ti?
    Thanks in advance!

  2. sudeep@sudeep-ommvm:~/Downloads$ ls

    sudeep@sudeep-ommvm:~/Downloads$ echo 'export PATH="~/anaconda/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bashrc
    sudeep@sudeep-ommvm:~/Downloads$ source .bashrc

    sudeep@sudeep-ommvm:~/Downloads$ conda update conda

  3. Hi Michael,

Thank you for making this video. However, in the middle of the conda install I get the following error on my ubuntu 64 bit O.S:

error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    Error: post-link failed for: openssl-1.0.2k-1

    any thoughts?

  4. hi!
my terminal looks exactly same as yours uptill 1:43 , plus i can see all the folders in place in my downloads folder,
However when i type python –version, it still shows only "python 2.7.6" .
Typing conda –update return conda: command not found

    would you know what's wrong?

  5. Hi Michael. Thank you for uploading this video. I'm very new to ubuntu and using the terminal, I'm a noob
Thanks to you I was finally able to install, however, I don't think I got past that….
When it was done installing, it told me "Prepending PATH=/home/etienne/anaconda3/bin to PATH in /home/etienne/.bashrc
A backup will be made to: /home/etienne/.bashrc-anaconda3.bak
For this change to become active, you have to open a new terminal.
    Thank you for installing Anaconda3!"

After that, I opened a new terminal but didn't do anyhting (was I supposed to?)

The last thing I was "able" to do was check the version, but not update anything.
    ~/Downloads$ python –version
    Python 2.7.6

    :~/Downloads$ conda update –all –yes
    conda: command not found

    I think I'm a bit stuck here….
