  1. Thanks for these videos Jay.
    Just wondering why it is that you can list contents of /home dir with just the ~ but if you try to mkdir in the /home dir …..whilst eg you are in /home/myname/Documents,  you need ~/.  
    It seems kind of inconsistent – Is there an obvious explanation?
