Basic Find Commands for Finding Files with Names and then executing a command

  1. Great video, but at the end I thought you were about to show a command line that would delete only all the "long*" files having .txt as extension (while excluding the longerfilename.log from deletion).

  2. hi tks for the explanation, since a started using the find and locate command i have a  permission denied message even if the command shows the result :

    edensox@edensox-box:~$ find . -name aaron
    find: ‘./.config/enchant’: Permission denied
    find: ‘./.cache/dconf’: Permission denied
    find: ‘./.gvfs’: Permission denied

any idea why is this showing i may have touch some .bashrc file before that mesage starts showing
