In this video, I take a quick look at Netrunner Rolling. It is a Manjaro-based Linux distribution that features the KDE desktop environment and a nice suite of programs installed out-of-the-box.

  1. Hello Derek, great review, in one hand a want soy that Netrunner it's a very complete arch/manjaro based distro. I love theming, but a think there are to many gtk apps that can be replace whit more qt apps. By other hand, just to say that Okular is in fact a default application in plasma, but is not for photo manager, is a document viewer for pdf, djvu, and other formats, like Evince.

  2. omg gorgeous looking manjaro distro kde looks like it actually has a use lol…….line command is powerful and a beautiful thing in its own right……..bringing people out of the matrix (MS Environment)
possibly needs more GUI reviews as you mentioned……people need to see the awesomeness of linux… the videos no matter how you do them……..thanks Derek 🙂

  3. This looks like 1 of the first KDE based distro's I could live in!
Netrunner overall seems like a pretty nice distro as well.

GUI package managers… for me, it's more a kinda 'look and feel' topic than about functionality and most of them more or less look alike. No need to cover them in detail if you ask me, 1 of the things I like on your vids is that they are very informative. People don't learn too much from using GUI based package managers, by using the command line they will!
I don't mean everything has to be done in the shell, but package management… YES! :]
Furthermore, I think it fits better in your vids as they tend to be more technical than those on many other channels.
Of course, this is only mho and if demand is high for covering the GUI ones… it's totally up to you Derek
Anyway, allways a pleasure to watch your work!
    Keep it up & cheers!
