The IBM Thinkpad T43 is still not obsolete.

Rocking a 1.86 ghz pentium M
128mb ATI Radeon X300
2gb of ram (woah)
64gb IDE Solid State Drive
and a 15 inch flexiview IPS display (gorgeous)

it is still enough to run the best games of 2008 and before. And still enough for modern web browsing and youtube and even video editng

Now it can be had for a mere $80 dollars (if you are lucky as fuck)
and 200 if you aren’t

Grab the 64gb PATA IDE retro SSD I used…

  1. Still better than my Dell Latitude D620 (except mine has a 2GHz Core 2 Duo which is faster), the GPU in that thing is total ass (it has the infamous GMA 950) and it gets pretty toasty if you play some 3D games for a long period of time.

  2. I got my Lenovo ThinkPad X61 with Core 2 Duo T8100 and 4GB RAM for 180 CNY (about $27). After I installed a HDD into it, I can run Windows 2000 to Windows 10 64bit with no issues at all.

  3. You're right, Windows XP is way more aesthetically pleasing than Windows 10. 10 is so flat and dull looking, Windows XP has 3-d icons, much better design colors, is more light and simple to navigate.

Microsoft announced Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows. That is aggravating. If they were going to stop making new versions, and just add things to the last release, I wish they had stopped with XP.
