Long time no post? This time I teach your guys some of the basic terminal commands for Macs and Linux based computers.


  1. "OS X" is a UNIX OS, not LINUX. The 'X' is used to emphasize the relatedness between OS X and UNIX. Versions 10.5 "Leopard" running on Intel processors,[3] 10.6 "Snow Leopard",[4] 10.7 "Lion",[5] 10.8 "Mountain Lion",[6] 10.9 "Mavericks",[7] and 10.10 "Yosemite"[8] have obtained "UNIX 03" certification.The Single UNIX Specification (SUS) is the collective name of a family of standards for computer operating systems, compliance with which is required to qualify for the name "Unix".
