By popular request I’ll be providing a couple of tutorials to help solve some problems you have identified… || Add me: || This week I go over how to fix the black screen some Ubuntu users have seen with the latest version, especially for people with Intel HD graphics. Fight for the users in our Discord:

  1. Well a wanted to install Ubuntu Mate 16.04 but after selecting the option nomodeset i got to the boot screen and after 10 min I got a pink screen at the top ..
    I don't know what's the problem..
I tried older version of Ubuntu 10.04 and every thing was working well but it is out of support

  2. Working on a computer right now that freezes when trying to install an os. Linux and Windows 7 both freeze before getting to the install. Xp I get 2 different issues but I at least get to some install options. I don't have any compatible hardware to test, but I was able to verify the disc and run memtest from the Linux disc and both checked good.

  3. Anyone got any idea about this?.. My laptop screen is broken so i use a monitor for my laptop, While attempting to boot parrot linux, kali linux, ubuntu, mint, it shows linux booting and then goes to a black screen and says "No VGA Cable" and the linux boots fine just won't display anything at all… Help its only for that laptop..

  4. Does not work for me at all. It does not even show the keyboard with the guy. I am using the Windows boot manager (could not use GRUB to boot to Windows 7). And yes, I am a total idiot for not backing up my stuff so I need to access my Ubuntu badly.

  5. You can bypass all this and instead of using "nomodeset" instead enter – i915.invert_brightness=1 –Using nomodeset instructs the kernel to use a generic "vesa/mesa" driver with no hardware support (not good)… using i915.invert_brightness=1 allows the kernel to load the correct driver for your Intel chipset with hardware support… After install you can edit the grub.conf file or menu.lst file to have this instruction on the same line that begins with "kernel"… If you update grub then you will have to re-edit the grub.conf or you can edit the /usr/share/default/grub file to contain GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="i915.invert_brightness=1" –this will assure that this command is always in the config file when grub updates (don't forget the quotes)…

  6. Hello! I crashed my ubuntu while updating… and now it just says that I ubuntu failed to start. What had happened is that I was updating ubuntu on my PC but then, I accidentally took the power off. So it turned off and then that problem. How could I repair that? Because now I have 200GBytes with no use!!! Help anyone! 😱😱😱😱

  7. Hey, thanks your video helps me a step further. I still got Freeze after loading proccess, it says Started User manager for UID 124, and then unfortunately stopped. Do you knoe what could possibly be wrong ?
