Win7- Win10 FSX Same Hardware

There’s been a lot of discussion if Microsoft Flight Simulator runs as well on Windows 10 as it did on Windows 7. Here I created a dual-boot install of both Operating System so I could run Microsoft Flight Simulator from both but using the same exact hardware.

The video first shows FSX running in Windows 7 and using the FSX built-in frame rate monitor. The second half shows the Windows 10 installation, again using the frame rate monitor. Both installations have the FSX frame rate set to…


  1. I have Core i7 5820K CPU (overclocked to 4.2GHz), GTX 770, 16GB DDR4 and running on the SSD but let me tell you.. my FSX performance not even near to yours… I know it's very hard to get this much optimization.. seriously I really want to enjoy FSX but it was just a dream never get it work 🙁

  2. Really interesting comparison. I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1 knowing that there wouldn't be huge performance impacts. What are your thoughts on windows 10 so far?
