Welcome back! I finally took the plunge and upgraded my two desktops from Windows 7
to Windows 10 using the assistive technologies route. Surprisingly it worked almost perfectly on BOTH units. Only issue was a missing DLL in the Windows 10 update assistant, which was easily rectified by copying the missing file from Windows System 32.
Once installed Win 10 1709 16299.125 works perfectly even on my old 2009 HP pavilion p6680t with a core i5 and amd radeon hd5400 graphics card…and my 2014 sff Acer Aspire AXC-605-UR29 with core i3 and integrated intel 4200 integrated graphics. You did a great job reviewing the 1709 update. I actually like Windows 10
it seems to be faster overall compared to Windows 7, the only thing I don't like is the forced updates. I wish MS would at least all Home users to defer feature updates for at least 4 months so any teething issues that arise can be ironed out before we have to accept the update.
