Lisa Gade shows you how Windows 10 runs on the late 2016 Touch Bar edition of the 15” MacBook Pro. The Mac suddenly feels a lot like the Dell XPS 15 once you Bootcamp into Windows 10, with that slim design, small bezels and quad core Intel i7-6700HQ CPU. We test out the oversized trackpad’s right click and palm rejection capabilities, see how the Touch Bar works and run Steam to see how the AMD Radeon 450 GPU performs playing Windows games like Fallout 4. We also cover heat, battery life…

  1. This is one of the best reviews with the macbook pro running windows 10, thanks a lot for covering so much of detail. It would have been better if you could have added just how much drop in battery life should I be expecting with respect to the MacOS and will windows effect my battery's longevity?

  2. Hey, i know its been a year but i wanted to ask the difference between battery life on macos and windows. Can you say it in hours? Like on macos it is 7 hours and pc it is like 2 hours or something like that.

  3. Hi Lisa, very informative video even after a year. If you are still using windows 10 on your mac, could you please help me to check if the in-built zoom function on the mac works well in windows? To turn on zoom on mac: Sys Pref > Accessibility > zoom

  4. DO NOT DOWNLOAD TRACKPAD++ It caused my trackpad on my Macbook Pro to stop working. The trackpad would work on MacOS but NOT on Windows. After hrs of research and buying a mouse to help navigate I found a fix. Here were the steps that worked for me: Go to Device Manager. Expand Human Interface Devices. Open Apple SPI Trackpad. Select Driver, then update driver. Browse My Computer for driver software. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer. Select SPI Trackpad. it'll update the drivers and you should be good to go! Lisa you should be careful with what you recommend. It also put Windows 10 in Test mode… to remove i had to go to the Windows System folder. Right click Command Prompt and Run as Administrator. Then copy and paste the command> bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF .Then hit enter. Then reset and that will solve all the problems this software caused.

  5. Parallels definitely the best idea if you need a few everyday Windows applications or light games, as then the trackpad works just as it does under macOS (not sure how they pass everything through to the VM so well but they do, it's pretty clever)

  6. after installing windows as i have replaced my laptops to use the new macbook pro 15 inch kaby lake model to use xcode with i've tried today to use windows and it does get hotter than it would on macOS . I had decided to delete my windows 10 pro off my macbook because it messed up my touch bar as i accidentally turned it off because i put the wrong version of windows and that somehow temporarily killed my touchbar, redownloading windows 10 and letting the drivers complete fixed the problem or so i thought. Every once in a while my touchbar has disappeared again but its not everytime i botted up it was mostly when i switched os and stuff is when it would go missing. I deleted windows 10 and so far my touchbar seems normal hopefully it was only because of that and not just put permanent damage to my touchbar as i now depend on it especially for my esc key and touchid

  7. Hello, I recently got this laptop and installed windows 10 with bootcamp. The touch bar is not turning on. I currently dont have any ESC, F1, F2…. etc keys. Please let me know how I can enable the touch bar. Is there a driver that I need to download?

  8. i love your videos because you don't just go oh he's how you do windows 10 boot camp you tell us but add so much more to i can't stop watching because you make it seem so interesting i love it. I wish i had a macbook

  9. I would like you to help out on my error while I was installing Window 10 (Anniversary) on my MacBook Pro 15 Touch Bar.
    These are the error message.

Your PC/Device needs to be repaired

The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.

    File: windowssystem32bootwinload.efi
    Error code: 0xc000000f

You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.

    Press Enter to try again
    Press F8 for Startup Settings

So I can't press F8 as the Touchbar was not working when the screen popped up this error message and I don't have any external keyboard.

    Additional Information:
I'm running macOS Sierra version 10.12.4
Boot Camp Assistant Version 6.1.0 (6050.50.6)

Please advice and your help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
